Before I met my boyfriend, I had never visited Gotland - one of the most popular summer destinations in Sweden. Gotland an island located in the Baltic Sea and you can go there by flying or taking the boat from Nynäshamn (South of Stockholm) or Oskarshamn.
I fell in love the first time I went and I try to go back as much as possible because it’s an amazing place. The northern parts are completely different from the southern and their main city Visby has a lot of cute old houses.
Here’s my guide to some of my favourite spots.
One of few year round restaurants in Visby as many of them are only open during the summer months. Great italian style pizza, located next to the big square. Get take away and eat it at Klinten if there’s a long line for the few tables.

Another must-visit restaurants in Visby! Make sure you book a table in time because it’s always full in July. Sichuan style food that you share and amazing fruity drinks. Do. Not. Miss.

A nice little bar with a great view of Visby. If you’re there in time there’s a local ice cream stand right next to it.

Not far from Visby you can one of the best cafés on the island. They have traditional Swedish “fika” and great lunch sandwiches. It’s located by the sea so you can have a swim before or after you visit.

Lilla Bjers is a restaurant gem, also not far from Visby. They serve vegetable from the farm's own organic crops and the things they can’t produce themselves they buy locally and organic. Not only is the food great, the location is also beautiful.

A small vintage and second hand store, it’s cramped with stuff. Only go there if your suitcase isn’t full!
